This Cookie Policy explains how GF de Swart B.V., trading as TL;DR Vision ("we", "us", "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) on our website (https://tldr-vision.com) and web application (https://app.tldr-vision.com) (together, the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage and device identifiers) store or access information on your device in comparable ways. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these.

We use very few cookies. Our analytics run in a cookieless mode, and our login and free-use features rely on local storage rather than cookies. The technologies we use fall into the following categories:

We use PostHog to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. PostHog is configured to run in a cookieless mode and does not place analytics cookies on your device. Anonymous usage measurement — storing nothing on your device and without tracking across visits — always runs on both the website and the web application. With your consent, your activity in the web application is additionally linked to your account; in that case a PostHog identifier is stored in your browser's local storage, and it is removed again when you withdraw consent (see Section 5).
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use functional cookies beyond the strictly necessary technologies described above.
Because our analytics run without cookies, the only choice we ask you to make concerns analytics. Anonymous, cookieless usage measurement always runs on both the website and the web application; it stores nothing on your device and does not track you across visits. When you create an account, we ask via a checkbox whether you consent to linking your activity to your account for analytics. You can change this choice at any time in the web application under Settings → Account. Strictly necessary technologies are used without consent, as permitted by law.
You can accept or decline account-linked analytics, and you can change your choice at any time (see Section 5).
Our marketing website (https://tldr-vision.com) is a static site that does not set analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies. Cookieless, anonymous usage measurement does run on the website, but it stores nothing on your device, which is why no consent banner is shown. The consent choice for account-linked analytics is made in our web application (https://app.tldr-vision.com).
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the web application under Settings → Account → Analytics consent, which lets you turn account-linked analytics on or off. Turning it off withdraws your consent, stops linking your activity to your account, and removes the analytics identifier from your browser's local storage.
You can also control cookies and local storage through your browser settings, including deleting stored data and blocking future storage. Note that blocking strictly necessary technologies (such as session storage) may stop parts of the Service from working. Information on managing these settings in common browsers is available at the help pages of your browser provider.

Wij gebruiken PostHog om te begrijpen hoe de Dienst wordt gebruikt zodat wij deze kunnen verbeteren. Anonieme gebruiksmeting — waarbij niets op je apparaat wordt opgeslagen en je niet over bezoeken heen wordt gevolgd — draait altijd op zowel de website als de webapplicatie. Met jouw toestemming wordt je activiteit in de webapplicatie daarnaast aan je account gekoppeld; in dat geval wordt een PostHog-identifier in de lokale opslag van je browser opgeslagen, die weer wordt verwijderd wanneer je je toestemming intrekt (zie Sectie 5).
Wij gebruiken geen advertentie- of marketingcookies, en wij gebruiken geen functionele cookies buiten de hierboven beschreven strikt noodzakelijke technologieën.
Omdat onze analyse zonder cookies draait, is analyse de enige keuze die wij je vragen te maken. Anonieme, cookieloze gebruiksmeting draait altijd op zowel de website als de webapplicatie; er wordt niets op je apparaat opgeslagen en je wordt niet over bezoeken heen gevolgd. Bij het aanmaken van een account vragen wij via een selectievakje of je toestemming geeft om je activiteit voor analyse aan je account te koppelen. Je kunt deze keuze op elk moment wijzigen in de webapplicatie onder Settings → Account. Strikt noodzakelijke technologieën worden zonder toestemming gebruikt, zoals wettelijk toegestaan.
Je kunt aan je account gekoppelde analyse accepteren of weigeren, en je kunt je keuze op elk moment wijzigen (zie Sectie 5).
Onze marketingwebsite (https://tldr-vision.com) is een statische site die geen analyse-, advertentie- of andere niet-essentiële cookies plaatst. Op de website draait wel cookieloze, anonieme gebruiksmeting, maar deze slaat niets op je apparaat op; daarom wordt er geen toestemmingsbanner getoond. De toestemmingskeuze voor aan je account gekoppelde analyse maak je in onze webapplicatie (https://app.tldr-vision.com).
Je kunt je toestemming op elk moment wijzigen of intrekken in de webapplicatie onder Settings → Account → Analytics consent, waarmee je aan je account gekoppelde analyse aan of uit kunt zetten. Door dit uit te zetten trek je je toestemming in, stopt het koppelen van je activiteit aan je account en wordt de analyse-identifier uit de lokale opslag van je browser verwijderd.
Je kunt cookies en lokale opslag ook beheren via de instellingen van je browser, waaronder het verwijderen van opgeslagen gegevens en het blokkeren van toekomstige opslag. Houd er rekening mee dat het blokkeren van strikt noodzakelijke technologieën (zoals sessieopslag) ertoe kan leiden dat delen van de Dienst niet meer werken. Informatie over het beheren van deze instellingen in gangbare browsers is beschikbaar op de helppagina's van je browseraanbieder.
